Halloween is coming, where are you going to celebrate?

Posted by Boe Lindgren No Comments »

The Nile Shrine Center is having its annual Halloween Party on Friday October 31st. The Party begins at 5pm and goes until midnight. This year there is a murder mystery event that is performed by the Potentate. The Nile Shriners know how to throw a party. Costumes are preferred (everyone will be wearing one). See you there!!!

Seafair Weekend is this weekend

Posted by Boe Lindgren No Comments »

It is time again for the Thunderboats, Blue Angeles, and the rest on Lake Washington. Seafair has been part of my life for over 30 years. My family has been to the races, been in the pits, seen the Blue Angels, attended the Torchlight Parade, and the many other activities through the years. Now I take my boys to the Blue Angels and then someday to the Sunday Races. Here is a complete guide to this weekends events and a little video that I like.

Another great 4th of July

Posted by Boe Lindgren No Comments »

My family has traditionally spent the 4th of July at my parents place in Manchester Washington. We lower the old flag and then raise a new one every year. Each flag was flown over the capital in Olympia on a given date for a specific occasion. I have two flags, both for my boys and they were flown over the state capital on the days of their birth. It is a great family tradition.

I hope you had a great 4th of July

A great lunch atop the Tallest Building in Seattle

Posted by Boe Lindgren No Comments »

I had the privledge last Friday to have lunch at the Columbia Tower Club in Downtown Seattle. The food was great and so was the company (my wife). While I was there a snapped a few pictures.

One is looking north towards the Space Needle, you can see Magnolia sticking out and Kingston in the distance.

The other is looking south to Mount Rainier, with Boeing Field to the right and Mercer Island to the left. That is I-5 and I-90 below.

What a great place, the Stratus Lounge is located on the 75th floor of the tallest building West of the Mississippi. There is a total of 76 floors, and that is where I took these shots.
